RoboCop

An original alternative movie poster design inspired by the 1987 cult classic sci-fi action movie RoboCop

The design captures the essence of the film with its central theme and tagline ‘Part Man, Part Machine, All Cop’ and RoboCop’s targeting HUD.

The design utilises RoboCops’ targeting reticule as the frame device and one that symbolically splits the ‘Man’ - Officer Murphy, and the ‘Machine’ - RoboCop down the centre. The reticule crosshair is also used to target the OCP Tower, the corrupt mega corporation at the centre of Delta City and RoboCops’ investigation. The design employs a ‘Police siren’ red and blue palette to underpin the blue Cop, red OCP RoboCop theme. For added authenticity the tagline employs a typeface reminiscent to that of RoboCops HUD.

I have also produced a colour variant that specifically utilises RoboCops’ HUD palette as an alternative take on the design.
