Ian Pestridge is a UK-based Artist, Illustrator and Art Director. Two of his greatest passions are art and pop culture and the combining of those two in visually exciting, original artworks that best showcases the subject and inspires him as an artist and as a fan.
His work has a distinct, highly detailed visual style; most notable in his work is the mark-making, as it is expressed through etch-like hatching and texture to produce form, texture and depth. His work utilises choice application of colour palette to best complements the character of the piece; lighting, composition and mood are a major component. Ian’s work can not only be appreciated as a complete composition but also as an experience in its creation when studied up close.
He has created officially licensed limited edition art prints for Moor-Art Gallery and Hero Complex Gallery.
He has collaborated with Bungie to produce promotional art and artworks to be sold in their official store as limited run prints; and also with Bitmap Books to produce cover art for their retro gaming book series The Ultimate Guide to First-Person Shooters
Ian has also worked as an Art Director in the games industry for 25 years, collaborating with a wide variety of clients on licensed and original projects. Clients include Warner Bros, Namco Bandai, Disney, Nickelodeon, Atari, Lionsgate.
